Pre-Startup Checklist
To ensure continued satisfactory operation, perform the following checks or inspections before each startup.

Ensure the generator is level.

Check the fuel level and ensure that the system is primed.

Check the bowl of the diesel fuel pre-filter for any signs of water at the bottom of the bowl. Drain if required.

Check the remaining operating hours before the next service is due.

Check the interior and exterior of the generator for any signs of coolant or oil leaks.

Check the engine oil level.

Check the radiator coolant level at the top expansion tank sight gauge.

Check the hydraulic oil level.

Check the condition and tension in the serpentine drive belt at the front of the engine.

Ensure that the generator is properly grounded / earthed with an approved grounding electrode as per

Ensure that all generator circuit breakers are turned off.

Make all required electrical connections between the required loads and the generator connection panel.

Ensure that all loads connected to the generator are turned off.
Downstream devices should be bonded to the System Bond connector located next to the System Ground connector.
